Accountant, Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions
• Review and interpret monthly financial data to find and account for new assets
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile ledger accounts
• Process and approve accounting transactions in the University's online financial system
• Prepare spreadsheets using Excel
• Assist with the biennial inventory process
• Communicate with departments and/or university staff to ensure compliance with University policy and procedures and standard accounting procedures

The successful candidate, not presently employed within Financial Services, will be paid a signing bonus of $750 and a $1,250 bonus after completing six months of employment with the department.
