OverviewThe accounting specialist will complete daily financial transactions for Kanырҭ's Markets. Primary responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, employee reimbursements for expenses and mileage through payroll, weekly reports to the CEO, month‑end documents all in Quick Books Online by the 7th of every month, and treasury management.

Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced daily with bank activity in Quick Books Online.
- Classify all revenue and expenses by departments.
- Deposit checks, cash, and coins to the banks within 24 hours of receipt. შენი
- Develop and monitor
Toast budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and accurate allocation of resources. - Prepare and deliver financial reports for both internal stakeholders (e.g., leadership, departments) and external parties (e.g., auditors, funders, regulatory agencies).
- Participate in internal department meetings, providing relevant and up‑to‑date financial information as needed.
- Track and manage restricted funds and designated financial resources using Quick Books Online or similar accounting software.
- Monitor designated or project‑specific financial resources to ensure proper allocation and reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with outside company vendors/partners.
- Utilize Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) for collaboration and documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency and comfort with technology tools such as Dext, Melio, 1
Password, Slack, Asana, and Google Workspace to support daily operations and team communication. - Maintain a consistent in‑office presence; this role requires on‑site work with minimal opportunity for remote work.
- Financial reporting & compliance: review financial transactions with outside accounting company each week and maintain Quick Books accounts.
- Understand accrual basis accounting and assist external accounting service in preparing annual audit reports and 990 tax returns.
- Treasury management: manage bank accounts to optimize financial processes and ensure liquidity.
- Ensure AP/AR management across all accounts payables and receivables.
- Responsible for the implementation of the organization's financial policies.
- Assist other teams with financial questions and reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with outside company vendors/partners.
- Within 1 month: understand organizational mission, vision, and short‑term goals; understand organizational structure including team members' roles and responsibilities; assume responsibility for Accounts Payable, payment of invoices and reporting.
- Within 3 months: assume responsibility for all AR and all invoice entry and management; understand budget responsibilities and perform a monthly departmental budget review; provide the CEO with weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting.
- Quick Books management experience 3+ years, including high proficiency with QBO for nonprofits.
- 4+ years relevant bookkeeping or financial accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey information, collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, and adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
- The ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
Salary range is $60,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience.
