Reporting to the Vice President of Finance (VPF), the Senior Accountant completes the balance sheet reconciliations, monthly upload of consolidated financials to UK based ERP Tagetik, assists with both internal and external audits, oversees credit card compliance and processing, and assists with annual statutory financial packages. They provide quality control and internal audits to ensure consistent accurate financial statements are produced for all stakeholders.
This is a fully remote position that can be based anywhere in Canada. Occasional travel to Keller offices may be required. This position is intended to provide coverage during a maternity leave and is expected to last approximately 14 months.
Responsibilities- Internal audit and quality control
- Assisting VPF with SOX documentation for monthly/quarterly/annual controls
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Population of quarterly templates for distribution to regional managers
- Assistance with general overhead population of costs corporately and regionally
- Population of corporate budget and forecasts
- Data entry of budgets into accounting software
- Financial reporting
- Reviewing branch project accounting for weekly reporting
- Assisting VPF with monthly financial reporting to UK parent company
- Assisting VPF with annual statutory package population
- Owner of branch accounting financial packages and accrual tool sheets
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- IFRS 16 leasing schedules
- Populating/updating external Tagetik ERP
- Main contact with annual audit and providing documentation as requested
- Manager of credit card program
- Reviewing Accounting Coordinator work
- Auditing receipts for compliance
- Assisting VPF and CFO with ad-hoc reconciliations, analysis, and entries
- Vacation cover-off
- Branch Accountant – taking over region(s)
- Corporate Accounting Coordinator (Credit card entries, and deposits)
- Other financial items as required
Education and Experience
- Enrolled in or complete CPA program or equivalent work experience
- Experience with IFRS, application of accounting policies and account reconciliations
- Management experience considered an asset
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience
- Experience in construction accounting in a multi-currency environment

- Knowledge of D365 and/or Microsoft Dynamics considered an asset
Salary Range
: $75,000 - $100,000 CAD
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law.
