A professional services firm is seeking an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Qualified Senior Associate to join its Audit team. Applicants must be ACA or ACCA qualified and demonstrate a commercially minded, well-organised approach to client work.
You will become a key part of a growing team delivering a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a diverse client base, including (but not limited to) charities, owner-managed businesses, complex groups, landed estates and regulated entities.
The Role
Senior Associates in the Audit team typically:
- Project manage and drive forward audit and accounting engagements, including liaising directly with senior members of clients’ finance teams.
- Take ownership of all stages of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork and completion, working closely with managers and partners.
- Contribute to the direction and development of the team, with opportunities to be involved in ad hoc projects such as internal working groups and client advisory work.
- Manage a small portfolio of engagements, supporting progression to the next stage of their career.

The Team
The Audit team is well established and continues to grow, with a strong emphasis on training, development and long-term career progression.
Clients vary in size and complexity and include listed entities, groups with overseas connections, owner-managed businesses, and charities and not-for-profit organisations.
The Office
The firm operates from a modern, purpose-built office with good transport links and easy access to the city centre. The wider office includes multiple partners and a large professional services team.
Qualifications and Skills
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Audit experience, including planning and completion
- Client-focused with commercial awareness
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple engagements
- Good technical knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach and ability to work collaboratively
Technical skills:
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Experience with audit and accounts software desirable
Desirable (but not essential):
- Ability to travel to client premises
- Experience with consolidated accounts
- Experience of IFRS
