We’re looking for a motivated and driven Finance Apprentice to join our team  you’re eager to learn about the industry, develop new skills, and build on your strengths, get in touch to find out more.

We’re seeking someone to join our dynamic team, which brings together experience from both accounting practice and industry. We value accountability, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from one another to support ongoing personal development. To accommodate regular office days at our Alderley Edge hub, the successful candidate should be based in or around Cheshire East or Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily processing of cashbook transactions into Sage 200.
  • Accurate allocation of payments and receipts.
  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Scanning and distribution of post.
  • Invoicing customers.
  • Support with the Sales Ledger and Purchase
  • Assisting with a variety of queries and resolving ledger discrepancies.
  • Support and contribute to weekly team meetings.
Key

Skills and Experience:

  • Must be aged 16 or above.
  • Must hold a Right to Work in England.
  • Learner must have grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English GCSE.
  • Clear understanding of accounting basics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and be a flexible team player.
  • Reliable and hardworking.
  • Organised and self-motivated.
  • Communicate in a confident, positive manner

  • Pay will be in line with the applicable National Minimum Wage for your age group.

Working Hours and

Location:

37½ hours per week Monday to Friday, normal office hours apply, within those set hours you will have allocated time for independent learning.

You’ll work in a flexible hybrid model, with regular time spent at our Alderley Edge hub.
