Position: Part Time Bookkeeper / Accounts
Part-Time Bookkeeper (Hybrid – Kent)

Our client is a small, friendly import firm looking for an experienced Part‑Time Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day‑to‑day accounts. This is a hybrid role, primarily home‑based with occasional visits to their Kent office.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing the sales and purchase ledgers, overseeing credit control, and ensuring the accounts are kept accurate and up to date. As they are a very small team in the UK, you’ll also support the Managing Director with light stock and sales tracking (around 5% of the role) and help introduce simple processes where needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain sales and purchase ledgers

* Manage credit control and debtor follow‑up

* Handle general bookkeeping duties

* Introduce or streamline accounting processes

* Provide occasional support to the MD with stock/sales tracking

* Assist with general office tasks as required in a small team

What We’re Looking For

* Previous bookkeeping and office experience

* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

* Ability to work independently from home

* Familiarity with accounting software (preferred but not essential)

* A proactive, flexible approach suited to a small business environment

Hours & Location

* Part‑time hours (flexible) 20 hrs per week / Circa £1,500.00 per month, negotiable DOE.

* Work from home with occasional office visits in Kent
