The Role

The Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate, commercial and not-for-profit clients
.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a varied portfolio of corporate, commercial and not-for-profit clients, delivering audit and advisory services tailored to each organisation’s needs
- Take full ownership of audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards of quality, insight and regulatory compliance
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical accounting guidance, practical advice on internal controls and broader commercial insight
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value and develop existing engagements
- Support business development activities including tenders, networking and identifying cross-selling opportunities
- Mentor, train and develop audit seniors and trainees, contributing to a culture of learning, collaboration and shared success
- Stay informed on regulatory, accounting and sector developments affecting both commercial entities and not-for-profit organisations
- Contribute to wider firm initiatives including recruitment, training and internal development projects
- Use audit and workflow systems such as CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts Production, Inflo, Excel, Word and MS Teams to manage workflows and deliver high-quality outputs
The role sits within a well-established and growing audit team acting for a broad range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, groups, charities, academies, social enterprises and membership organisations.
The team has ambitious growth plans across both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the development of the client base while working in a supportive, partner-led environment. The Candidate- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit background
- Experience working with corporate and commercial clients, with exposure to not-for-profit or charity audits
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, with familiarity with the Charities SORP and charity VAT/tax issues advantageous
- Personable, professional and commercially minded, with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident managing teams, client relationships and multiple engagements
