The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, statutory compliance, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making within the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, statutory compliance, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making within the business.

Key Responsibilities Management Reporting & Financial Oversight

• Prepare and present monthly management reports
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to management
• Compile and review management accounts
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, and cost controls
• Review general ledger reconciliations and trial balances

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with South African Revenue Service (SARS) requirements
• Manage corporate income tax and provisional tax submissions
• Handle SARS queries, audits, and verifications
• Manage company registrations, annual returns, and amendments with Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC)

Accounting & Systems

• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external auditors where required

Minimum Requirements

• Registered with SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants)
• Relevant BCom Accounting degree or equivalent qualification
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within manufacturing or commercial environment
• Strong experience with SARS and CIPC compliance processes
• Proficient in Xero (essential)
