Senior Accounting Technician

Permanent# Senior Accounting Technician Boisbriand Share As  a Senior Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices. You will also participate in the month-end and fiscal year-end processes and occasionally support payroll.
** MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Review weekly payments to suppliers;
* Daily review of accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices;
* Perform various accounting entries;
* Participate in the preparation of month-end and fiscal year-end files (balance sheet/income statement);
* Prepare various management reports, reconciliations, and analyses for internal and external purposes;
* Tax declarations (GST, QST, VAT, American taxes);
* Monthly preparation and analysis of the financial statements for one of the companies;
* Rigorous cash flow monitoring;
* Participate in the improvement of the department's work methods;
* Occasional payroll support.
** OTHER RELATED TASKS
*** Perform bank reconciliations (accounts and credit cards);
* Perform data entry of receivables into the ERP system;
* Customer credit validation;
* Perform customer collection;
* Perform data entry of payables into the ERP system;
* Prepare weekly payments to suppliers (in the ERP system and at the bank).
** POSITION REQUIREMENTS
*** DEP or DEC in accounting and/or finance;
* Between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
* Bilingualism (French/English);
* Good problem-solving skills and a strong sense of organization;
* Excellent analytical skills, autonomy, and good adaptability;
* Intermediate Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and ERP system;
* Ability to meet tight deadlines;
* Mastery of the complete accounting cycle;
* Ability to perform accounting for multiple entities and in multiple currencies;
* Knowledge of payroll.
