This is a full-time remote role for an Accountant at Bookwiser Solutions Inc. The Accountant will handle tasks such as managing trust accounting and compliance, conducting reconciliations, maintaining ledgers, and performing payroll and accounts management. Responsibilities also include preparing invoices, assisting with audit preparations, generating financial reports, and contributing to compliance and year-end processes. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards, alongside effective communication with clients and colleagues.

• Proficiency in trust accounting, compliance, and audit preparation
• Strong skills in general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
• Experience with invoicing, client accounting, and retainer/deposit management
• Capability to prepare financial reports, conduct budget planning, and manage cash flow
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Clio, Quick Books, or Sage
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Experience in the legal or professional services industry is an asset
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
