Hybrid Intermediate Accountant

Become an Intermediate Accountant in a hybrid role located in Gatineau, QC, with opportunities for remote work one day a week. Focus on financial reporting accuracy and process improvements across various entities.

This 12-month contract offers a salary between $65,000 and $75,000 plus benefits. In this role, you will support the financial closing process, prepare journal entries, conduct reconciliations and develop budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your strong analytical capabilities will be crucial for evaluating financial results and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy of monthly and quarterly financial closes

• Prepare general journal entries with precision

• Perform thorough general ledger reconciliations

• Conduct variance analysis on financial results

• Support external audits and respond to requests

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years in full-cycle accounting

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent

• Ongoing CPA progression is mandatory

• Proficiency in MS Excel, especially VLOOKUPs

• Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP preferred
