Assistant Controller

Position: Assistant Controller Hybrid Role

In this role, the Assistant Controller will assist in overseeing financial reporting, project accounting, and compliance for Taggart Construction. Candidates should have at least seven years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction sector, and possess strong technical knowledge. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions and reporting

• Review reconciliations and financial outputs for accuracy

• Oversee project costing, billing, and collections

• Facilitate audit preparations and internal control adherence

• Encourage team performance through coaching and support

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience

• CPA certification preferred; public accounting experience a plus

• Strong understanding of financial practices and standards

• Experience with ERP systems is advantageous

• High proficiency in analytical and communication tasks
