Schedule: Flexible hours with at least 50% overlap between 9am–5pm EST
The Senior Production Manager is responsible for owning the end-to-end production workflow across the firm. This role acts as the central traffic controller, ensuring that all client work is properly assigned, completed on time, and meets a high technical standard before final delivery.
This is a hands‑on leadership role combining strong technical expertise with team management. The Senior Production Manager serves as the primary internal reviewer for all production work, while also training and developing team members and improving systems and processes.
Production Ownership & Workflow Management- Own and manage the full production lifecycle, including task assignment, prioritization, and deadline management
- Ensure all work is delivered on time and within budget
- Monitor team capacity and allocate resources effectively
- Act as the central coordinator for all production activities
- Act as the primary internal reviewer for all production work, including tax returns, financial statements, and bookkeeping
- Ensure all work meets a 90–100% quality standard before final client delivery
- Apply deep technical expertise to identify errors, provide corrections, and guide team output
- Manage and review the work of senior, intermediate, and junior accountants and bookkeepers
- Train and continuously upskill team members in tax, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and payroll
- Provide structured feedback and conduct regular performance reviews
- Foster a supportive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment
- Develop, document, and refine SOPs to standardize workflows and improve efficiency
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance quality and turnaround times
Ensure adherence to internal systems, processes, and best practices
- Support client communication related to deliverables, clarifications, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with the Senior Client Manager to ensure smooth client delivery
- Maintain responsiveness to internal communications and team needs
- Utilize and optimize key tools including Karbon, Case Ware Online, Profile Tax, and Quick Books Online
- Stay up to date with new technologies, automation opportunities, and tax law changes
- CPA designation (or equivalent) required
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in public accounting
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience managing or mentoring a team
- Strong technical expertise in tax and financial reporting
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and financial statements
- Proficiency with Karbon, Case Ware Online, Profile Tax, and Quick Books Online
- Strong organizational and workflow management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Compensation: $95,000 annually
