We are looking for a self‑driven, proactive, and curious Accountant with Big 4 experience to take on a diverse and evolving role covering a range of responsibilities within fiat operations at Figment: from monthly close journal entries and reconciliations to financial reporting, controls evaluation and ad‑hoc tasks and projects.

• Support monthly financial close, including general ledger reconciliations, analytics, and preparation of management reporting and FS under US GAAP
• Own schedules and reconciliations for accruals, prepaids and deposits, fixed assets, investments, leases (ASC 842), intercompany accounts, payroll, share‑based compensation and other areas
• Support Payroll accounting including but not limited to recording monthly journal entries and reconciling the payroll accounts including bonuses, commissions, PTO, etc.
• Prepare monthly Management Reporting and Financial Statements under US GAAP
• General bookkeeping and day‑to‑day ad‑hoc accounting tasks and other projects (e.g. reviewing control matrices and process narratives annually)
• Assist with audit preparation, statutory filings and compliance requirements
• Helping improve accounting process to increase automation, efficiency and decrease close timelines
• Partner cross‑functionally with Crypto team, Treasury and FP&A to streamline workflows

• CPA or working towards the certification
• 3‑4 years of Big 4 experience
• 1‑2+ years of practical accounting experience is an asset
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and reporting requirements is required
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• The ability to research and resolve technical and operating accounting issues
• The ability to take initiative and work with quick turnaround times & deadlines
• Experience working with a heavy volume of data from multiple sources
• Keen attention to detail, solid organizational skills and ability to collaborate and prioritize tasks in a remote fast‑paced environment
• Net Suite or similar ERP experience is an asset

This role will collaborate most often with our FP&A, Tax, and Payroll teams.
