Digital Accountant

Permax Recruitment is working in partnership with a world leading cryptocurrency accounting and professional services firm on the role of Digital Accountant.

Location:

Hybrid role. 2/3 days in office (Cheltenham), 2/3 days working from home Salary: £45k to £50k Responsibilities Management of own client work (including effective communication and assistance with needs where required) Using digital software to complete bookkeeping duties on a daily basis Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate and up to date data is being provided to clients Preparation of financial statements to review status Completion of statutory returns, including but not limited to, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns Accurately present data to clients, where applicable, in the form of bespoke reporting Report to Accounts and Client Manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth operation of compliance team Use proactive mindset to ensure that high-quality services are being provided to all clients Requirements Knowledge of basic accounting procedures An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Awareness of business trends Familiarity with financial accounting statements

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Xero/Dext preferred) Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Relevant qualifications required - AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent QBE Benefits Competitive Salary:
