Senior IFRS Accountant Remote

Become a pivotal Senior IFRS Accountant with ARAG Legal Solutions Inc., working remotely and in the Toronto Financial District. Specialize in IFRS 17 compliance and join a growing insurance team.

In this senior role, you will report to the Controller and focus on the technical application and ongoing compliance of IFRS 17 while partnering with actuarial and audit teams. Essential skills include applying IFRS measurement models, understanding contract boundaries, and maintaining IFRS accounting policies. Key Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain IFRS 17 accounting policies and interpretations

• Validate actuarial inputs and transform results into accounting entries

• Prepare IFRS 17 journal entries and disclosures for monthly close

• Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on reporting

• Identify opportunities to enhance IFRS 17 processes and automation

Requirements:

• CPA or equivalent designation required

• 7+ years of IFRS technical accounting experience

• Expertise in IFRS 17 implementation or application

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
