Hybrid Senior Accountant

Join a dynamic finance team as a Senior Accountant specializing in project accounting in Ottawa. This hybrid role offers flexibility with four days onsite and one day working from home.

As a Senior Accountant, you will function as the primary accounting contact for assigned entities, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders. Your responsibilities encompass preparing financial statements, analyzing complex accounting issues, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires close collaboration with internal departments for variance reporting and maintaining the integrity of financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as primary accounting contact for assigned entities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Record, review, and analyze journal entries during financial close

• Maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations

• Support compliance documentation and special projects

Requirements:

• CPA designation in progress or completed

• Experience in project accounting, preferably in public companies

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls

• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
