Remote Senior Accountant

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Remote Senior Accountant based in the Greater Toronto Area. This role focuses on revenue recognition, month-end close tasks, and cross-functional collaboration.

The contract duration is six months with a possibility of becoming permanent. You will oversee accurate revenue and account activity while reconciling discrepancies. This role demands strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead revenue recognition and month-end close activities

• Reconcile revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounts

• Partner with teams to verify transaction completeness

• Prepare journal entries and maintain organized records

• Assist in audit requests with detailed documentation

Requirements:

• Must have an accounting designation

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Knowledge of either IFRS or US GAAP

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area
