A leading manufacturingpany in Regina has an immediate need for a Cost Accounting Manager to lead a small accounting team in an in-office, permanent position.
Your new role
The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the existing cost accounting functions in support of manufacturing operations and supply chain management for all manufacturing plants. Responsibilities include adherence to the monthly and quarterly close process and timeline, overseeing all related entries to the general ledger and account reconciliations and analysis related to inventory and cost of goods sold accounts in order to ensure the continued integrity and accuracy of these accounts on the Corporation’s financial results and balance sheet.
They will be responsible for the supervision of the cost accounting team. This team is located at multiple locations, so experience of managing a team of remote workers will be an asset.

Robust internal controls understanding
Detail oriented, ability to aplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment
Excellentputer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and related tools
A bachelor’s degree, major in Accounting, with a depth of skills in accounting (both financial and managerial), reporting, analysis, financial supply chain, processes and procedures
Knowledge of ASPE
Requires 5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and a general understanding of discrete manufacturing
