Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in Geneva and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across our accounting operations.

In this position, you will take ownership of key accounting processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including:

• Managing and reconciling daily bank transactions and cash movements
• Maintaining accounts receivable, including dunning procedures, aging analysis, and provisions
• Performing intercompany reconciliations and coordinating cross-charges between entities
• Overseeing fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation and depreciation schedules
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with local regulations
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes and controls
• Contributing to finance-related projects and system enhancements

We are looking for a hands‑on, reliable professional with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset:

• Commercial background with further training as an Accounting Specialist (or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an international or multi‑entity environment
• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting standards (or similar frameworks)
• Strong practical experience in AR/AP, intercompany accounting, bank postings, fixed assets, and VAT
• Confident user of Excel (experience with ERP systems is a plus)
• Fluency in English is required;
  German is an advantage
• A structured, detail‑oriented, and solution‑driven approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
