WELLSTAR Accountant

Position: WELLSTAR Accountant - Hybrid Role
Elevate your career at WELLSTAR as a Senior Accountant in Vancouver with a hybrid work setup. You will be instrumental in full-cycle accounting and tax compliance.

This full-time, permanent role, reporting to the Controller, focuses on complex financial reporting and supporting junior accountants. You will analyze business performance, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with provincial and federal tax regulations. Utilizing advanced accounting and AI tools will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements

• Support month-end close for WELLSTAR business unit

• Review and coach on journal entries and reconciliations

• Oversee tax filings and regulatory compliance

• Drive process improvements within finance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA designation is a plus

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred

• Knowledge of IFRS and internal controls

• Strong analytical and communication skills
