Senior Accountant

Our client is a well respected multi-disciplinary accounting firm, and is actively searching for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to advance your career by working on a variety of Accounting disciplines including audit, review engagements, notice to readers, compilations and tax in a friendly, team environment. This is an in-office position to start at their office in Vaughan, but will transition to hybrid (3 days in office/2 work from home).

• 4+ years of experience in a public accounting environment
• CPA designation is an asset
• Experience with completing audit, compilations, review engagements and notice to readers
• Experience with corporate and personal taxes and have the ability to prepare tax returns
• Strong experience reviewing assurance files including the tax return with the ability to hand over to Managers with minimal loose ends
• Experience liaising with clients
• Experience conducting research & reach technical conclusions
• Strong knowledge of Caseware, MS Office (Excel and Word) & Taxprep
• Ability to work as part of a professional team and lead others in a team environment
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships
• Ability to recognize accounting and tax issues and work with the team to resolve any issues that arise
• Ability to solve problems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills for prioritizing demands and meeting deadlines

Competitive salary between $85-95k, bonus, health benefits and three weeks vacation to start
