Senior External Auditor — US & SOC​/Yellow Book; Remote

SAPRO is seeking experienced External Audit professionals to support our US-based client on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for auditors with strong US audit experience, particularly those with exposure to SOC engagements, Yellow Book audits, Construction, and Manufacturing clients. The position will begin as a remote contract opportunity and will transition to a hybrid model in the future.

• ITC / Board 1 Pass (non-negotiable)
• Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA
• Minimum 4 years’ external audit experience
• Prior US external audit experience
• Experience with Yellow Book audits
• Construction and Manufacturing audit experience required
• SOC experience preferred
• Experience auditing and documenting basic and complex audit sections
• Ability to review, guide, and coach junior team members

• ITC / Board 1 Pass (non-negotiable)
• Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA
• Minimum 5 years’ external audit experience
• 2+ years’ experience leading teams and managing audits end-to-end
• Prior US external audit experience
• Experience with Yellow Book audits
• Construction and Manufacturing audit experience required
• Experience planning audit budgets and allocating resources
• Proven ability to review and sign off on audit work papers

Provide a broad range of fully integrated audit services for our global clients. The responsibilities below apply per level.

• Provide timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections with a reasonable number of workpaper comments.
• Facilitate fieldwork and coordinate deliverables from multiple team members.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge of methodology, relevant standards, and systems; collaborate with Manager to guide associates, interns and monitor productivity and the work plan schedule.
• Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise.
• Interact with clients and engagement teams to ensure efficient information flow from the client to the team.

• Provide timely, high-quality deliverables covering complex sections while overseeing fieldwork and coordinating deliverables from multiple team members.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge of systems and methodology; educate and redirect team members as needed.
• Lead the engagement and prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable conditions letters, focusing on quality and accuracy.
• Actively monitor productivity, budgets, and ensure adherence to the work plan schedule.

• Should you be successful in your application, you are expected to have access to the internet with an uninterrupted connection. At minimum, a fibre connection with bandwidth of least 50 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, and latency not exceeding 30 ms. The connection should be sustainable in the event of power interruptions.
• Audit experience and alignment to a specific level within SAPRO shall be determined based on your individual audit exposure, technical interview and evaluation.
• Generally, we work on a 4-hour overlap with the host firm, however this is client dependent.
