Role Description

This is a full-time Accountant role based in Manama with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining general ledgers, recording journal entries, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role will involve ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies, assisting with audits, and preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.

The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, help improve financial processes and controls, and support the financial needs of the group and its portfolio companies.

Salary Range: 300 BHD

Qualifications
  • Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of GCC accounting standards, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English;
    Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are beneficial.
  • Prior experience in corporate, holding company, or regional GCC environments is preferred.
