Position: Intermediate Accounting Clerk - Hybrid Role
Join York Region's Finance team as an Intermediate Accounting Clerk, utilizing your accounting expertise in a hybrid work environment. Focus on accounts payable while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial operations.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Accounts Payable, this role is crucial in processing various accounting functions for Environmental Services or Transportation and Community Planning. You'll ensure transactions are precise, maintain vendor files, and manage payroll within established guidelines. Your contributions will directly impact departmental efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and match accounts payable for processing accurately

• Process invoices using the online computerized system

• Calculate and code foreign exchange payments smoothly

• Maintain accurate vendor files in hard and electronic copies

• Administer TEAMS to facilitate timely payroll management

Requirements:

• Post Secondary Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Business

• Minimum two years of general accounting experience

• Knowledge of corporate accounting procedures

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially spreadsheets

• Strong customer service and communication skills
