An opportunity for a Senior Accountant is available within a modernised accountancy practice in Central London. This medium-sized firm has grown significantly this year and is looking to continue growth by onboarding an ambitious part-qualified or qualified accountant who can progress with them.

Senior Accountant Job Overview- Accounts preparation and review – Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Tax compliance and strategic planning – Overseeing the preparation and submission of VAT and corporation tax returns, providing proactive tax planning and commercially focused advice to support tax-efficient business decisions.
- Client relationship management – Acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, developing trusted relationships, managing day-to-day queries, and delivering tailored financial and commercial advice.
- Business consultancy and advisory – Supporting business owners with strategic planning, management reporting, business structuring, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and performance improvement initiatives. Advising clients on business growth, succession planning, acquisitions, disposals and long-term value creation through insightful financial analysis.
- Team leadership and development – Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior accountants and trainees, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
- Practice growth and value-added services – Identifying opportunities to enhance client service through additional advisory offerings, helping clients make informed commercial decisions and achieve sustainable business growth.
- Part ACA/ACCA qualified; fully qualified is advantageous
- A minimum of 3 years UK practice experience
- Experience in preparing Statutory Accounts, CT600s, Partnership returns & ITRS (Self Assessments)
- Experience supervising and assisting juniors
- Preferable but not essential: experience with accounts production software like CCH and packages such as MyWorkpapers, Sage, Xero, etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Able to commute into Central London
- Salary dependent on experience, £45,000-£60,000
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus birthday off; option to purchase additional holiday
- All commute costs covered

- Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm
