Remote Bookkeeper at MMLT

Location: Carleton Place

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Bookkeeper will manage critical financial records for MMLT. You will be responsible for entering all financial transactions accurately, processing payroll, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations. This role demands a solid foundation in nonprofit accounting, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to work effectively within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record all financial transactions in SAGE

• Manage and accurately record donations in BASIC FUNDER

• Prepare bi-weekly payroll and submit remittances

• Compile and submit monthly financial reports

• Ensure accurate accounting files for audits

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in nonprofit accounting

• Accounting diploma and demonstrated experience

• Proficient in MS Excel and SAGE accounting software

• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

• Attention to detail and analytical skill set
