Part-Time Senior Accountant (Potential to turn to full time employment)

Location:

Mirfield (open to the ideal candidate working from home after the first month)

Hours:

15-22.5 hours per week

Salary: £29-36k (Pro rata) dependent on experience

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing practice on a part‑time basis.

This role is ideal for an experienced qualified practice accountant who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering high‑quality accounts and tax work. We would also consider someone qualified by experience with 8+ years experience in practice.

• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns.
• Reviewing client records and resolving accounting queries.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and explain financial results.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

• AAT qualification (or qualified by significant practice experience).
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and corporation tax.
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero & Quick Books.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
