Senior Financial Services Accountant Corporates
Senior Financial Services Accountant Corporates is responsible for preparing financial statements, managing bookkeeping, reviewing dividend distributions, preparing reporting, and ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS for a diverse portfolio of client entities.
ScopeYou will report directly to the Manager Accounting Services Corporates and collaborate with experienced financial service accountants, relationship managers, and legal colleagues.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction, solve complex questions, and provide a full range of corporate services.
Key responsibilities- Prepare Financial Statements
- Prepare bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, capital contributions, intangibles, according to Dutch GAAP and IFRS principles)
- Review and/or prepare the (dividend) distributions and capital contribution requests
- Review and prepare client specific monthly/quarterly reporting
- Review and coordinate the CIT & VAT returns
- Prepare the audit file and assist with statutory audits
- Perform quarterly transaction monitoring and create transaction profiles
- Prepare CFI reports for Dutch Central Bank
- Maintain contact with shareholders, clients, banks, accountants and other external parties
- Good level of Dutch GAAP, knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, Dutch is an advantage
- Pro‑active, team player, focused on quality, persuasive, able to set priorities, work with deadlines and flexible
- Interest in the wider international financial world
- At least 4‑6 years of relevant experience (preferably at a trust office, audit firm or other financial institution)
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (e.g. Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration)
