Payroll Professional

An established modern professional services firm is hiring a key Payroll position in Nottingham, offering hybrid working after probation and on‑site parking.

The company is flexible with experience level and salary, reflecting up to the mid‑thirties based on interview assessment.

Applicants will work in a team, reporting to a Manager; the role is targeted at a Senior Payroll professional or possibly a Manager grade.

During the first six months of probation, work will be in the office, after which employees may work two days per week from home if preferred. Home working may be permitted earlier under special circumstances.

Full‑time hours over a five‑day week are preferred (37.5 hours), though part‑time applications may be considered.

• Preparation of weekly and monthly client payrolls using various software tools
• Administration of payrolls and maintaining good client relationships
• HMRC communications
• Year‑end payroll communications
• Ensure that client statutory returns are submitted by the appropriate deadlines
• Responsible for clients' CIS tax‑deducted returns
• Upload of Bacs payroll payments
• Assist the Payroll Manager as necessary and act as cover for other Payroll Technicians

• Practical experience of payroll processing, preferably in a payroll bureau environment or within practice
• Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional (IPP), Earnie, Xero Payroll, or Sage Payroll is an advantage
