This is a permanent, full‑time daytime role working Monday to Friday with a salary up to £35,000.00 per annum. It follows a hybrid working model, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.
Responsibilities- Ensure accurate preparation, reconciliation and administration of transport‑related invoices.
- Play a key part in supporting operational and financial accuracy while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and generate transport‑related invoices in line with customer contracts, tariffs and service agreements.
- Verify invoice accuracy, completeness and compliance against financial and operational data.
- Reconcile invoice information against transport logs, job sheets and booking systems.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with operational teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for invoice‑related queries from customers and transport providers.
- Maintain accurate records and support internal audits and compliance activities.
- Monitor invoicing deadlines to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Build effective working relationships across Finance, Operations and Transport functions.
- Provide administrative support and assist with ad‑hoc finance tasks as required.
- Previous experience within invoicing, finance administration, transport administration or logistics administration.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial and operational data.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good problem‑solving skills and a logical approach to investigating discrepancies.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Tableau or similar reporting and data analysis tools would be advantageous.
- Understanding of transport operations, service contracts or logistics environments is desirable.
- Proactive and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
