The Financial Administrator carries out a variety of financial activities (e.g. processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, service billing). Supporting the Team Leader,Accounting and Reporting, the incumbent records project and contract budgets, and assists with year-end activities.
KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIESThe duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:
Primary- Enter accounts payable data
- Maintain project budgets and transfer of funds, ensuring appropriate allocation of project expenditures based on Client-Partner instructions
- Compile high-risk claim documentation for review
- Respond to inquiries about financial processes (e.g. accounts payable, billing,invoices)
- Prepare and issue monthly service billing invoices
- Prepare and distribute monthly return of funds reports
- Assist with year-end activities
- Coordinate and process direct deposit requests, set up new vendors and make changes to existing vendors
- Support other employees with regard to contract financial administration, accounts payable, payroll service billing and accounts receivable
- Provide administrative support to other Finance department teams
- Other duties as assigned
General and Specific Knowledge
- Finance and accounting principles
Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience
- Minimum: college diploma in accounting or related field with two years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent
- Use applicable computer software and operating systems
- Perform repetitive data entry with high level of precision
- Adhere to strict deadlines
- Demonstrate attention to detail
Provide occasional functional advice and guidance to employees
