We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our Finance & Accounting team. If you enjoy working with numbers, thrive in a collaborative environment, and take pride in delivering accurate, timely financial information, we’d love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Controller, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization while contributing to the continued success of one of Canada’s leading insurance brokerages.
What does the Finance Administrator do?  As a Finance Administrator, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations by supporting a variety of accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing full-cycle accounting activities and maintaining accurate financial records.
Processing accounts payable and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time.
Managing accounts receivable, recording incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
Supporting the preparation, analysis, and payment of monthly commissions for branch offices and Head Office employees.
Entering and reconciling financial data within our accounting and broker management systems.
Monitoring and responding to accounting inquiries and internal support tickets while meeting established service standards.
Assisting with annual audit preparation, including working papers and supporting documentation.
Helping maintain internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and applicable legislation.
Collaborating with Finance and cross-functional teams to improve processes and support ongoing initiatives.
Assisting with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as required.

Qualifications   Completion of a two-year College diploma (or equivalent) in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
Strong computer skills with experience using accounting software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Assets   Previous experience working within the insurance industry.
Experience working with broker management systems or commission processing.
Knowledge of Power broker is considered an asset.
