The OpportunityThe Rothenbury Group is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to maintain reliable financial records across a portfolio of Canadian businesses.
This position will support multiple companies and legal entities with different operating activities, bank accounts, departments, transactions, and reporting requirements. The person hired will be responsible for reconciliations, general-ledger accuracy, GST/HST accounting, payroll entries, intercompany activity, month-end support, financial reporting, and year-end preparation.
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for the overall condition of the books. When accounts do not reconcile, transactions are assigned to the wrong entity, or historical balances lack support, you will be expected to investigate the issue and correct it properly.
This is a senior individual-contributor position. It is not intended for someone whose experience is primarily limited to entering transactions, categorizing bank-feed activity, or processing invoices.
Recruitment ProcessApplications are reviewed based on Canadian bookkeeping experience, education, accounting-system knowledge, multi-company exposure, and the level of responsibility held in previous positions.
Candidates selected for screening will receive an email within one to two business days of applying with a link to complete a pre-recorded video interview.
The interview will evaluate your full-cycle bookkeeping experience, reconciliation skills, GST/HST knowledge, payroll accounting, intercompany experience, Quick Books Online proficiency, month-end judgment, and ability to maintain accurate records independently.
Candidates who demonstrate the required level of experience may be invited to a live interview.
