Senior Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join an exciting Construction company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive: £50,000 - £60,000 plus up to 8% bonus and 3 remote working days per week Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Establish monthly, quarterly and annual closings for the UK, including supporting VAT returns, CIS submissions and annual accounts preparation Process multi-currency accounting entries and perform intercompany reconciliations Prepare income statement and balance sheet, process IFRS journals and adjustments Perform bank reconciliations and resolve queries Support external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors on UK-specific matters Organise regular training and follow-up sessions with the accounting team on ERP usage Ensure correct coding, use of automation features, and compliance with group ERP standards Identify and communicate ERP system improvements, issues and accounting process enhancements to the team Build on existing processes and implement improvements in line with group policies Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc analyses, budget preparation and cost reporting

Person specification:

ACA OR ACCA qualified Currently working within audit or a financial accounting role with IFRS exposure In-depth knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools Intermediate level Excel with a good knowledge of ERP systems £50,000 - £60,000 plus up to 8% bonus and 3 remote working days per week Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
