We specialize in small and medium-sized companies. Our services are designed to assist businesses through sound planning, financial and quality, and management systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to clients by responding to accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax-related inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with client needs and industry standards.
Assist clients with banking compliance, financial reporting requirements, and the finalization of banking and mortgage-related agreements.
Analyse financial data, perform ratio and cash flow analysis, and assist clients with clear and transparent financial reporting.
Provide bookkeeping services, including recording sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll transactions, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Assist with payroll compliance, including WSIB, government remittances, T4 and T4A filings, and related CRA reconciliations; prepare T5 slips as required.
Prepare Harmonized Sales Tax/Goods and Services Tax (HST/GST) and other applicable provincial tax returns, as well as Personal (T1) and Corporate (T2) Tax Returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CRA requirements.
Maintain organized electronic files and supporting documentation for easy access, retrieval, and audit trail purposes.
Maintain client relationships by providing responsive, professional, and high-quality customer service.
Identify client needs and proactively communicate opportunities or issues to the appropriate internal team members.
Work with admin team when supporting clients for CRA inquiries.
Prepare working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits and reviews; ensure timely completion, internal review, and a high standard of accuracy and quality control.
Collaborate with the Assurance team to complete audits and reviews for clients, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to work significant overtime during tax season, including evenings and weekends as needed
Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, Jazzit, Profile, Caseware) and advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills including SharePoint.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
