Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Colchester (Hybrid) Up to £30,000 A well-established and friendly accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its growing team in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality bookkeeping and VAT services. Role Responsibilities Undertake bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries. Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and within deadlines. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients. Respond to client queries and provide bookkeeping support where required. Ensure accurate financial records are maintained using cloud accounting software. Personal Requirements A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.

AAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent). Strong working knowledge of Xero and Quick Books Online (QBO). Experience using CCH would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Benefits Competitive salary depending on experience. 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. Hybrid working available with up to two days working from home after successful completion of probation.
