Assistant Accountant (Full-Time, Permanent) - Belfast
An established and growing business in Belfast is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and financial responsibilities.

- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Process journals, accruals and prepayments
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end procedures
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when required
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Prepare VAT returns and support compliance with financial procedures
- Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and confident using accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
