The Digital Accountant is a key role within the Business Solutions & Outsourcing team within a growing regional accountancy practice based in Leicester.
As much as you will prepare meaningful management information packs for clients, you will delve deep into the inner workings, shaping processes, focusing on advisory projects and implementing cloud accounting for clients, specifically Xero – removing all the pressure of year end accounts or tax work!
Experience of working in an accountancy practice is not essential. It presents an intriguing career opportunity for a part qualified or newly qualified accountant, with robust knowledge and application of management accounts and digital transformations.
It is a highly varied role, and it is foreseen that this role will evolve with a clear pathway for career progression longer-term.

- Preparation of management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Lead software reviews, implementation of cloud accounting software and improve internal processes
- Analyse financial information and statements, presenting findings and advice to clients
- Journal entries, VAT returns, accruals and prepayments
- Processing adjustments, posting banking and reconciliations
- Either AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA, ACA/ICAEW or equivalent
- Adaptable approach to assignment with solid attention to detail and ability to communicate across all business levels
- IT skills including Excel and any accounting software (Sage, Xero, Quick Books, IRIS etc).
