Hays Accountancy & Finance is recruiting a Group Reporting Accountant on behalf of a well-established and internationally recognised organisation. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible role with responsibility for delivering high-quality group reporting and management reporting, whilst driving improvements in reporting quality, automation and financial insight across the business. This opportunity would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys improving reporting quality, streamlining processes and partnering with stakeholders to support better business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
- Prepare group consolidations and support reporting requirements across the Group.
- Improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of group reporting and management reporting.
- Drive month‑end process improvements and reduce reporting timescales.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved use of finance systems and technology.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and workforce planning activities.
- Provide meaningful business analysis across overheads, sales, margins, stock and operational performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to explain financial performance and support commercial decision‑making.
- Manage UK and German payroll processes alongside HR and external providers.
- Support the annual audit process and maintain strong financial controls.
- Contribute to finance transformation and wider business improvement projects.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA qualified.
- Experience in group reporting, management reporting and business partnering.
- Proven ability to improve reporting processes, controls and management information.
- Experience reducing reporting timescales whilst maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrable process improvement and automation experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, collaborative and focused on continuous improvement.
- Multi‑entity reporting and group consolidations.
- ERP implementation, systems improvement or finance transformation projects.
- Experience working within an SME environment.
- Salary of £63,000 - £70,000.
