About the Company:
HireIQ are delighted to be partnering with a long-established Northern Ireland Practice to recruit an Audit Assistant Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, who's ready to take the next step in their career, to join a well-established finance team and build their management experience.
About the Role:
- Leading and completing audit engagements for a wide range of clients across multiple sectors.
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risk areas, and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
- Preparing audit files, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Supervising, training, and reviewing the work of junior audit staff.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Assisting with workflow planning, team organisation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the audit department.
- Supporting ad-hoc advisory projects including internal controls reviews, due diligence, and technical accounting matters.
About the Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 1 year PQE in audit within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks (FRS 102, IFRS advantageous).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience using audit software.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workload, and work effectively as part of a team.
