Senior Accountant

A client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area are recruiting a Part-Time Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a temporary-permanent, fully remote position working 20-25 hours per week and paying up to 23.08 per hour depending on experience.

Your key duties in this Senior Accountant role will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for SME clients
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and reporting packs
• Preparing sole trader accounts and self-assessment tax returns
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and loan/HP accounts
• Providing technical accounting and bookkeeping support to the wider team
• Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, long-term relationships
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing accounting advice and answering queries
• Supporting clients with their wider business needs and helping them understand their financial information

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

• At least 3 years' experience preparing statutory accounts, CT600s and SA100s within a UK accountancy practice
• ACCA, ACA, AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong client relationship management skills
• Experience using Xero and Excel;
  Tax Calc and Fathom experience would be advantageous
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload independently in a fully remote environment
