Audit Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Audit Manager to lead their audit engagements in Richards Bay . This role is pivotal in overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of financial audits for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for managing audit teams, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and delivering high-quality assurance services. This hybrid position allows for focused office-based work and remote flexibility, ideal for a leader who can manage complex projects and client relationships effectively, ensuring the highest standards of audit integrity.

• Plan, execute, and finalize financial audits for clients across various industries.
• Manage and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and relevant regulations.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee the preparation of audit reports and management letters.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification (e.g., CA(SA)).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting and auditing.
• Proven experience in managing audit engagements and client portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed within the Richards Bay region and surrounding areas.
