Tax Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and diligent Tax Accountant to join their team in Soweto . This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, preparing tax returns, and providing expert advice on tax matters. You will play a crucial role in tax planning, minimizing tax liabilities, and staying abreast of changes in tax legislation. • Prepare and file all company tax returns accurately and on time (e.g., VAT, Income Tax, PAYE).
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions.
• Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Liaise with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or audits.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure the company remains compliant.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• Professional qualification such as SAIT, SAICA, or similar is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax accounting or tax advisory.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
