Interim Financial Accountant

Summary An opportunity for an experienced and highly technical Year End Accountant to join a business undergoing significant transformation and restructuring. This role will suit a hands-on qualified accountant with strong consolidated accounts experience, excellent technical accounting skills, and the confidence to add value through improved planning, process enhancement, and delegation support across the finance team. The Role This is a highly visible role requiring a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and detailed level. Lead the preparation and review of complex consolidated statutory accounts. Work closely with the finance team, reviewing accounts line-by-line and ensuring technical accounting accuracy. Support and manage the year-end audit process, acting as a key contact for external auditors (BDO).

Drive improvements to reporting processes, planning cycles, and finance team effectiveness. Provide guidance and support to colleagues, helping to prioritise and delegate work efficiently across the team. The Successful Candidate Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) with strong year-end and financial reporting experience. Proven track record preparing complex consolidated accounts within multi-entity organisations. Strong technical accounting knowledge, with additional exposure to tax and VAT highly desirable.

Previous audit experience, either from practice or industry, would be advantageous.
