Butler Rose Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a well-established, family-owned SME business based in the Preston South Ribble area to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

- No two days will be the same, your role will be varied, and you'll be involved in management accounting, payroll, cash flow management, balance sheet reconciliations, stock reporting and month-end processes.
As the Assistant Management Accountant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst contributing to the preparation of accurate financial information by
- Maintaining the Sage 50 general ledger across the business, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, fixed asset accounting, stock reporting and month-end journal postings.
- Preparing supplier reconciliations, supporting month-end reporting, reconciling balance sheet accounts and assisting with the production of monthly financial reports.
- Managing accounts payable processes from invoice entry through to payment preparation, maintaining strong supplier relationships and resolving invoice queries.
- Supporting outsourced payroll processes through preparation and submission of payroll data.
- Monitoring daily cash flow, assisting with bank reconciliations and helping to ensure effective control of working capital.
- Well suited to working in a smaller organisation where they can play a pivotal role.
- Keen to learn, study and take on additional responsibilities.
- Experienced using Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
- Experienced within a similar role.
Ideally, we're looking for someone to be part-qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or actively working towards this.
The salary, benefits and hours!£35,000 - £38,000 per annum depending upon experience, 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, parking on site (due to location, drivers are preferred), company pension and of course, the greatest benefit is the clear route to progression into the FC role. Working hours are Monday to Friday with the option to work from home one day per week following probation.
