Accounts Receivable Clerk

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local manufacturing business in Bradford who are looking for an accounts receivable clerk on a permanent basis. Reporting into the finance manager and working in a small team, the chosen candidate will be integral in ensuring outstanding debt is kept to a minimum, maintaining strong cashflow and taking complete ownership of the sales ledger.

You must have a good understanding of credit control processes with proven ability of building rapport with their customer base and reducing debtor days. This is a fantastic opportunity and ideal for someone that likes to take full control of their ledger, working in a lovely and supportive team.

Duties include:

Open new customer accounts Generate and send customer invoices Track ageing balances and follow up on due accounts Reconcile the AR ledger ensuring all payments are posted Investigate and resolve any billing queries Process ad hoc refunds to customers Contacting customers by phone / sending reminder letter for payment Monthly sales ledger balance sheet reconciliations maintaining clean up-to-date sale sledger accounts Coordinate and work in collaboration with wider teams in the business Person specification Proven ability with a minimum of two years working in a similar role Billing experience Construction industry experience (Desirable) Understanding of credit terms, collections processes and basic accounting principles

Good analytical and problem-solving skills Good systems experience and confident user of Excel On offer is a salary in the region of £28,000 - £30,000, working a 37.5 hour week, flexible working hours and one day working from home, 25 days holiday and other benefits.
