Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Financial Accountant to join their established finance department in Stellenbosch. This role is integral to the accurate recording and reporting of the company's financial activities. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing general ledger functions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
