Temporary Finance Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Assistant for an initial 2 month period. Successful applicants will have previous Finance/ Accounts Assistant experience and will ideally be available to start immediately. Previous Hotel or Hospitality experience is essential. The role is based in Central London, working for a luxury Hotel business. The role will include:
Accounts Payable & Receivable Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with payment runs and maintain AP ageing Support invoicing and collections where required Revenue & Income Audit Support Assist with daily revenue checks Reconcile POS systems to PMS (e.g. Mews) and accounting system Investigate and resolve variances Balance Sheet Reconciliations Assist with reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts Support month-end close process Financial Reporting Support preparation of monthly management accounts Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Control & Compliance Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and procedures Support audit requests (internal/external) Maintain organised and audit-ready documentation The working hours are very flexible and there is 1 day working from home per week.

Whilst this is initially a temporary opportunity for 2 months, there is a possibility that the position could be made permanent.
