Your new role Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting effective decision-making across the organisation. This is a varied and highly visible position where you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process while supporting budgeting, annual accounts, audit and continuous improvement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines Supporting annual budgets, operating plans and financial forecasts Preparing and presenting financial information to management and non-finance stakeholders Managing fixed asset registers in line with component accounting requirements Assisting with annual financial accounts and audit processes Supporting purchase, project and nominal ledger activities Preparing financial and regulatory returns Supporting payroll, pensions and HMRC-related administration Contributing to Board and senior management reporting Providing financial support and guidance across departments Improving financial processes, systems and reporting capabilities Supporting financial policies, procedures and internal controls Deputising for the Head of Finance when required What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or an Accounting Technician keen to progress your career, with:
At least three years' experience within a busy finance environment A minimum of two years' financial and management accounting experience Previous involvement in budget preparation and annual accounts Experience preparing and presenting financial information to management Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills Experience using integrated financial systems Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills The ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines A proactive approach to process improvement and smarter working

Experience with in housing, the public or voluntary sectors, or involvement in financial system implementations would be advantageous but is not essential. What you'll get in return This organisation offers an excellent salary and benefits package, including:
